Let me encourage you with an honest perspective:

• If you continually compare what you want with what you have, you’ll be unhappy. Instead, compare what you deserve with what you have, and you’ll be happy.
• What makes us discontented with our personal condition is the absurd belief thatothers are so much happier than we are.
• No matter what kind of house you live in, wouldn’t you rather be there than in the best hospital in your city?  
• Did you know that if you have cash in your wallet and a jar on your dresser that collects loose change, you are considered “prosperous” by more than 90% of the world’s population?
• If you have food in a refrigerator, clothes in addition to the ones you are wearing, and a roof over your head at night, you are more fortunate than 75% of the people in the world.
• Think about it…At any given moment there are more than a billion people who would gladly trade places with you.
• What if you lost everything, then miraculously gained it all back…how thankful would you be?
• If things aren’t going so well, stop and be thankful for what you do have. Because God starts with what we have to take us from where we are to where He wants us to be.
• 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 gives us two great guides for life. “Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks.”
• Max Lucado wrote, “The devil doesn’t have to steal anything from you, all he has to do is make you take it for granted.”
• Know that you are blessed and God loves you. You are not insignificant. Your life makes a difference.
